The uses for new RAM trucks are as varied as the trucks themselves. For many people, the “family car” is a RAM truck, while for others it’s a heavy hauler or work truck. New technology is about to make your choices even easier. Ourisman Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Bowie takes a closer look.
We’re used to seeing RAM trucks at the many auto shows that take place around the world each year. However, other trade shows are aimed at those who expect their RAM 1500 or RAM 2500 to earn outs keep. One such show is the 2017 National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) Work Truck Show.
The NTEA show is an annual confab aimed both at OEMs (the companies, including FCA US LLC, that build vehicles) and aftermarketers (the companies whose accessories, upfits, and body work are typically added after the sale). While enthusiasts use upfitters to improve performance or make cosmetic changes, upfitting a work truck can mean extensive modifications, body work, and other additions to help your RAM truck work smarter and harder.
Two new programs were introduced at the NTEA show this year. The RAM Augmented Reality Upfit Configurator uses a virtual reality environment to help you choose upfits for your RAM truck or RAM ProMaster van and see how those upfits will look once they’re completed. The other program is called Q-Pro, and it’s intended to boost quality and regulatory compliance on aftermarket upfit work.
It will take a little while for these programs to be available to the Crofton, MD drivers served by Ourisman Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Bowie. However, we still offer RAM commercial vehicle programs alongside special financing and an extensive selection of pickups, vans, and cab-and-chassis trucks, so why not stop by our showroom at 2406 Crain Highway in Bowie, MD today to find out more?
