The Jeep® Wrangler long has been among the most revered SUVs on the face of the planet, which helps to explain why Jeep dealers in MD continue to see it among their best-selling models every single year. It makes sense, then, that Jeep would find ways to further capitalize on the off-road king’s popularity, as is the case with a forthcoming pickup truck version of the SUV due out sometime in the next year.

“The Jeep Wrangler is always going to be the icon of the brand,” said Scott Tallon, director of the Jeep brand, adding that any vehicle building off of that respected marque would have to do right by the history of the model. “I think the pickup truck will stay true to what a Jeep is, but it will also stay true to what a pickup truck offers in the marketplace.”

This early in the process it’s impossible to imagine what that might look like, but what we can almost certainly guarantee is that a Jeep Wrangler pickup truck will offer the same types of off-road capabilities and add-ons that have made the SUV such a beloved icon for decades. Drivers in and around Bowie, MD long have enjoyed the workhorse persona of this model. Adding a bed in back for hauling and boosting the towing capacity a little can only mean good things for consumers.

As of now it sounds like the Jeep Wrangler pickup will debut in the spring of 2019, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get excited about it a little early. Jeep has dabbled in pickups before, but this one could generate more excitement than any we’ve ever seen. Jeep deals abound here at Ourisman Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM, and something like this will only create more enthusiasm for the Jeep Wrangler line.
