Winter is waning, and one of the things we’re thinking about at Ourisman Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM is the upcoming warm weather. But with warmer weather comes greater responsibility to make sure that your car, truck, or SUV is ready for the new season; going from winter to spring can be quite drastic for your vehicle. We recommend that you do these things before spring officially arrives:
Lose the Winter Gunk
When snow and ice settle down on our roads, the use of salt to melt it all away is common. But did you know that road salts can be detrimental to the health of your vehicle? Road salts can be picked up by your tires and spread all over your car, including but not limited to the wheel wells and exterior paint. If not cleaned off, premature corrosion can occur, so wash your car thoroughly before it’s too late.
Treat Your Tires With Kindness
The winter cold can really damage the roads we drive on every day, leaving pot holes and rough patches throughout the streets and highways. All of this can speed up the wear of your tires, so we encourage you to consider a rotation or wheel alignment.
Clean the Air Conditioner
Your vehicle’s air conditioner attracts dirt even in the winter. If left untreated, you can face a malfunctioning air conditioner system by the time you need it the most. Our technicians will inspect the unit to ensure everything is up to par.
